Razaq Aliyu is confident Enyimba will turn their season around after they recorded their first win in six games.
The reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions had gone six matches without victory and needed two goals from Mfon Udoh to seal a comfortable 2-0 Caf Champions League second leg victory over Vipers SC on Sunday.
Enyimba qualified for the next stage of the competition with a 2-1 aggregate win.
“We have never felt the pressure when we were drawing our games. I thought we were in the dying embers of our pre-season,” Aliyu told Goal.
“The victory has come at an appropriate time and I believe we should be able to see more positive results.
“Our focus has shifted to the League which is getting exciting with all teams capable of causing an upset. However we also believe we can defend our crown.
“The feeling is good, the spirit is building up gradually and I believe we shall get there,” he concluded.
